Oi! Here is a job I knocked up recently for Bruce and Peta. A celebration of 60 years of marriage. Congratulations to the both of you as that is something to be proud of. Jules and I have been together for 26 years (Half of our lives) and it has been fantastic and also hellish sometimes I must admit. It is lucky we are both staunch and tough as we have been able to sort out any dramas or horror episodes life has thrown at us. When ya sign the dotted line it is a contract. My Mother told me once when I was about 17 that when ya young you need ta explore and have a lot of fun but when ya put a ring on a girls finger you make a commitment. I took her advice. I am glad I am married to my best Mate and sometimes marriage is not easy but you have ta work at it. We happily live our own lives together!

Hey Ho! I am into framing lots of stuff again. It is a constant battle ta stay on top of things. I work alone and like it that way. Fergus is always hanging around ta keep me company but is not real big on the tools and work side of things. I am sure he lies out in the sun in the driveway just to stir me up as I watch him through the door. Living the dream he is. Anyway it was Mummys Day the other week and I did this nice piece for Mitch ta give his girl. She lost her Mum a while ago so it was an important job. He is a really nice bloke and she is lucky ta have such a thoughtful partner. Lets face it, most off us guys are hopeless in the gift giving department so it is really great when one of us really steps up and puts a bit of thought and planning into a gift. Makes the rest of us look bad though. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode. Anyway have a great day and stay healthy, Dallas.✌️

PSssssT! Hey You! Frameworks has been closed due to the virus and I have been hiding and minding my own business for 6 weeks. I must say that it has been a good break and I do need one occasionally as I start ta lose the plot. I have not had my creative juices flowing work wise and have been doing all sorts of other things. Mainly enjoying myself and pretending I have been retired! I have had a few regular VIP punters sneaking in and dropping off jobs. As I have been getting more and more people calling and banging on my gate I am reopening on Monday 11th. Back due to popular demand one might say. As always I appreciate your business. The first week I was closed I binged on Foxtel watching the whole series of James Bond movies. I absolutely love my memories of going to the Crest Cinema when I was a kid seeing them. Roger Moore was the coolest dude ever and those action scenes at the start of Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me still excite me. I have a few 007 movie daybills and will frame this one next week.I have a lot of work ta catch up on and I best Shake Some Action.

Och Aye, Fergus here reporting on 1st week of isolation. Dallas has been working through his existing workload and calling clients as he finishes jobs so they can pick up jobs if they choose to. Few people have rocked up with work and Dallas has politely asked them to come back when the time is right. They have been cool with it. What ta do? I must say that it is beautiful weather and he has been taking me down the river for a walk everyday as he ponders the universe. I tell him that he overthinks things sometimes and just say "It is what it is". Enjoy the simple things. Make the best of a bad situation. Hope you are all well and stay that way! Luv Fergus.✌️

Here we go now! What is happening at the moment is breaking my heart and I am so upset at people losing their jobs. After having a house meeting with my family I have decided to shut down my beloved Frameworks from this arvo until safe to reopen. I also have my 89 year old mummy ta think of. My customers mean the world to me and what I do is on a very personal level designing frames during consultations. It involves handling mat and frame corner samples together. I cannot do my job and interact on this social distancing thing. I may be able to do some straight forward jobs and will talk to you regarding each individual case. Call me if you wish. My clients who know me would be aware that I like a bit of a yarn and am a very sociable young fella. And if I cannot shake hands with people I meet it is not on. I refuse ta do this elbow touching crap. I do have about 3 to 4 weeks of work to complete and will give that my priority and let people know when their jobs are done. I will make use of this time in lock down and use my time wisely. Jules, Lochie, Fergus and I will spend much time together as a family and get lots accomplished in Frameworks and around our home. I will drive my lovely wife mad no doubt!😜This could last 1 month or 6, who knows. We all have to stay in good physical and mental health and defenses up for if and when this thing grabs us.
I dragged out this sign Paul from Sign right gave me during the flood shut down 7 years ago. When I worked through that disaster I was flat out for months with work after I reopened so I imagine it will be a repeat of that. Without the mess ta clean up and rebuilding of our lives. Gidday, Now this is a turn up for me as politics is not big on my agenda. But I do care about my country and local community. I am not wanting a political discussion as they bore me but I do support these 2 lovely ladies who are both personal friends. I thought I would acquire these promo placards and wrap the most expensive, large gold mouldings I could find as nothing is too good for my friends (Actually cheap synthetic garbage I have had for years out back, Shhh!😜) and give them ta the girls for a bit of fun. I have known Helen since I was in high school and used ta see her around town at the pool, pinnie parlour and other local hangouts where all us kids used ta mingle having fun. She has served our country in the military which I thank her for and she always comes across to me as a tough, confident and honest woman with a fierce love for the well being of Bundy. My wife Jules has been best friends with Tracey for 100 years and I regard them as sisters to each other. As I have come to know Tracey over the years I would have to say she has to be one of the nicest humans I have ever met and our life is all the better to have her in it. She has a heart of gold and is deeply involved in her local and world community and cares for the future of it all. I will never forget her being here straight after the floods working hard, organizing food and people to help us out.
Both of these ladies grew up in Bundy and have both run successful businesses started from scratch which have employed many locals.They have experience in the real world and I think they would be incredibly good to have on the team running Bundaberg council as a business and get the things done they say they will.
