Hello, Dolly! starring Ginger Rogers. He told me he was there with his wife on Broadway, the opening night, 9th August, 1965. She signed it for him and the cheeky bugger asked for a dance. She obliged. What a cool memory for him.

So Tbone the Bull just had me frame up this beautiful print he had done of his wife. He was overwhelmed with love and emotion when he saw the finished job and asked my thoughts. I replied she is the most glamourous cow I have seen in a long time and I really must invite you lovely couple to my next BBQ!😜🥩

So I was sitting in my car waiting for a train this morn taking in the surreal view of the Federal Hotel and the Spotted Dog Tavern. I noticed a really old, what looks like a fire alarm. I wish I could grab that off the wall and frame it. I always look at objects I could possibly frame. I, as a local am also really upset at the demise of the Tav and the Fed. Used ta play pool there a bit when I was young and got drunk and disorderly many a time seeing great bands there more than once I will tell you. Fun memories like everyone else growing up here. I am sure it will rise up from the ashes with Pato and Sue at the helm. I do hope so and wish them all the best.

Yo Metalheads! Here is our old mate Eddie from Iron Maiden. During my younger formative years I enjoyed a bit of Maiden in the 80's. I have always liked the horror artwork of Eddie evolving over the years and seeing him in many theatres of war and time travelling. He rocks!🤘 I was close ta buying tickets for the concert this year. It got cancelled. I am waiting for a refund for our Green Day tix now. Stupid Covid messing with all my concert going.

Hey Ho, I just designed this up and cut it out for framing. I would rather cut up a shirt and frame it rather than frame the whole shirt. Better value for you and less hassle for me. I get creative trying ta up the look of it also. An Alice Cooper tour shirt, one of many I have ta do for a young fella! I shall raid my wardrobe and do some of mine also when I can. Never get time ta do my own projects. Now as I am an honest young chap I shall tell another tidbit of info for my blog. This song is about domestic violence and control. I personally have never participated in it and never shall. My wife, son and dog will back this up. I have, in darker times many moons ago wanted ta raise a fist but never have thank cripes. I have however demolished a bit of furniture in anger and also punched walls and doors in my house. Behavior I am not proud of but was a long time ago. I will let you know there is not much give in a tongue and groove wall of an old QLDer house. Guys who punch holes in 10mm plasterboard walls always crack me up. King hit a 4x4 hardwood post and see how ya go. I learnt the hard way. We all get a bit cross now and then but if you get physical please get some help and talk ta someone. Or exit the relationship. Belting people ya love is really not cool.

So a client brings in this old "Honour the Brave" 🇦🇺 WW2 certificate for me to reframe after been sitting for many many moons. I pulled it apart and we find a picture of Jesus and a very old photo of a young girl on the backing. Someone's history. Never know what ya find in the back of old frames. Maybe I should get some photos of Fergus and stash them in jobs I do for a surprise in years to come.

Hey Ho, Being the top little citizen I am, I just had a week off with Jules on a long overdue driving holiday down the Sunny Coast and all through the hinterlands spending some money and supporting local businesses, pubs and accommodation. I am back into it and will rip into another pile of work. Here is one of the many Mandalas I do and have done. Here is an explanation of the them.

Once you start to notice them you will see them everywhere."
This, my friends is why I do not go in for all that Hippy crap! I believe that about as much as I believe in Karma. I just try and be a descent human and am a realist. Works for me.

Hey Ho! Here is a collection of NASA space shuttle badges I just framed up. I have about as much want to go into space as being stuck in a submarine underwater. Pass thankyou. I may jump out of a plane for a bit of fun one day but. I find just riding around on a motorbike or driving a car is taking your life into ya hands nowadays. Idiots everywhere, including myself sometimes I must quietly confess. I do find that I channel my inner MAD MAX when I drive my V8. I just love, love ,love it and get a bit savage when I am alone. And with no one else on the road near me. I keep waiting for fines to arrive but not as yet. They will. Shhh, Don't tell me Mum!

More news, Jules just came in and told me ta put a different shirt on. I said no, again. She loves me and is always concerned about my appearance at work. I say I do not care as I will wear what I want. I choose ta get around like like a 17 year old in my collection of old punk and rock band shirts I am happy. She particularly hates this KISS shirt. I wear it just to annoy her!😉 I am a long time soldier of the KISS ARMY and have the lightning bolt tattoo on my ankle which I did in a grade 8 geography class ta prove it. People do not come here for my dress sense I calmly inform her. She shakes her head and walks away. I love that girl!💙
